F. DOUGLAS ALLEN, a native of Alexandria, Louisiana and a graduate of Jarvis Christian University (HBCU) in Art Education.

 

His art interest began as early as pre-school and by 1956 he had completed his first original oil painting. In 1967 his works began to reflect the fulfillment of his life long dream of becoming a professional artist. This was the time that he began a series of color studies in creative art using such mediums as oil, watercolors, ballpoint, and color pencil.

 

After years of study, the first exhibition of his art was presented to the general public in 1980. Since 1980, his works have been exhibited in many cities throughout the southwest, specifically in Texas Houston and Dallas are the most likely cities in which his artwork will be found.

 

There are several reproduction of his works on the market; some them are: "Street People", "Confrontation", and "Contact”.
